Why would you put the actual menus in the language the student is trying to learn? If the lessons were not in a particular order, I would just be clicking on random lessons. The software should provide students with an option to choose the language in which the menus are presented.

The other thing I’d say is these lessons are fun, which means I’m highly motivated to keep learning (I actually look forward to doing my lessons every day!). I wish the Rosetta Stone had a Czech version when I learned that language because it would’ve changed my experience from being a grind to being enjoyable.

Before Rosetta Stone, I had tried everything from tapes, books for dummies, and other language software programs and was not successful. After trying a free demo of the Rosetta Stone software, I decided to give it a try. I loved it. It was so effective, it captured the interest of friends and family who would casually walk by while I was using the software. Before I knew it, there were about four or five of us gathered around the computer with everybody blurting out the word for the picture!

I am starting the Rosetta Stone Spanish lessons. My biggest complaint is that they jump into using these words that I am trying to use but don’t have my language’s word to associate it with. It’s making it very difficult to use an appropriate word to understand or translate. The pictures are there to help but especially in cases where the picture is showing people, it is fairly confusing. I can repeat words and phrases as good as the next person, but without the translation there, it makes learning comprehension harder.
